Fall Wardrobe Essentials You Need + How To Style Them

by Ashley Smith-Neily 30 Sep 2022 0 Comments

It is officially fall and I couldn’t be happier. There is something magical about a walk on a crisp morning with a spiced latte in hand and colorful leaves hitting the pavement. We also enjoy this time for the clothing we get to wear during it: soft sweaters, our favorite jeans, warm sweats, and cozy cardigans, to name a few, all of which you can find in our new fall collection

Fall is my favorite season when it comes to styling, as I can combine my favorite aspects of winter (like chic jackets and fun layering) and summer (like showing some skin and playing with color) to create a stylish wardrobe.

To make the transition from summer to autumn smoother we put together a list of fall wardrobe essentials.  From tops and bottoms to dresses and jackets, these are the pieces all women should have in their wardrobe this season.

Without further, adieu, here are the fall wardrobe essentials you need...

Medium Wash Jeans

It should come as no surprise that Medium Wash Mom Jeans are an essential wardrobe item for fall. When it comes to denim jeans mom jeans are top tier. Mom jeans are some of the most versatile and timeless pieces of clothing  you can own. Whether you’re heading out shopping, running errands or lunch with friends, there are many ways you can rock them. With a cinched waist and baggy legs, mom jeans belong in every women’s wardrobe. Cozy Cardigan

When it comes to fall layering a cardigan is a closet staple. A long-knit cardigan just screams cozy fall vibes.  You can wear it casually with a simple white tee and either jeans or leggings. If you're heading into the office this fall, the cardigan would look great over a simple blouse and a pair of high-waist trousers. And for an evening out, throw it on with a tight-fitting dress, tights, and heeled booties.

Fitted Turtle Neck

Fall is all about layers, so it’s essential to have some basic layering pieces in your drawers. Basics such as fitted tees, tanks, and turtlenecks will come in handy when you want to add an extra layer of warmth, but they also go well with everything: silk skirts, tweed jackets, denim jeans, etc.  You name it, a basic, solid-colored, fitted top is all you need to form a complete outfit. We suggest this fitted turtleneck top for fall, but it will carry you into winter as well. The ultra-soft brushed knit fabric is all you’ll want close to your skin in the coming seasons.

An oversized white button up is an essential for any season.  For fall an oversized button up can act as a jacket for those crisp, in-between days, providing both warmth and an extra dose of style. Once it's layered over your look, you can choose to leave it open or button it up before throwing on a few key accessories that will pull the whole thing together.

Black Leggings will never go out of style. They are super comfortable and easy to style! Not that you need another pair of black leggings in your collection, but to be honest you can never have too many, these nylon black leggings are going to be your favorite this fall! They are extremely stretchy and comfortable and since they are made of a shiny stretchy nylon material so you will get the legging fit without the legging look! These Not So Basic leggings can be dressed up or down! Dress them down with an oversized t shirt  or throw on a long knit sweater and heels for an  easy chic look.

Shacket

Shackets are perfect for October and November because that’s when the weather really starts to feel like fall. Shackets are similar to button-downs but made with a thicker material to provide extra warmth. The shacket has become a transitional wardrobe favorite due to its being stylish and easy to throw on. You can wear it casually over your favorite loungewear set with a pair of sneakers or can be dressed up with a jumpsuit and knee-high boots.
